PhD Student Survey
A research degree student from RGU Aberdeen (ABS) is conducting a research in developing countries, their current legal and ADR (alternate dispute resolution) systems such as arbitration, mediation, adjudication and reconciliation with objectives to investigate the current awareness in each country incorporating cultural, tradional, political and religious structure of that developing country in each community and their effectiveness in settling their daily life and commercial disputes outside the courts without spending too much time and money. It will further focus on barriers in getting justice, role of NGO’s in awareness and development of ADR systems.
The research degree student is gathering data and studying the systems from developing countries and willing to make this research a comprehensive document and guide for information seekers and researchers for further research in depth. He hopes that his research will help professional and NGO’s in making awareness and resolution of disputes in such countries before start of their work or while on work.

ADR Systems in Developing Countries and Access to Justice
Filling the survey form will take about 20- 40 minutes. Those who know the ADR systems, they can fill it withing 20 minutes but those who have less knowledge, can take 30-40 minutes.
